What? I might be running the Tough Mudder this year? Oh really?! Isn’t it a tad expensive?
Wait what? One of your cousins is paying for your registration? As an early graduation present? Forreal?
Theres more? Your other cousin offered to pay for one of your marathons? You’re freaking kidding.
I was just talking to my friend about how taking up running as a sport can be expensive. All the GU, socks, shoe replacements, and races add up. Within a couple of months, me = broke. Each race ranges from 30-130 dollars. And being a college student without a job, I would consider myself lucky running two races/year. I love the close relationship I have with my older cousins (5+ year difference? ain’t no thang..but a chicken wang). They’re the most openminded and level headed people I’ve ever met. I am forever grateful for them. I seriously do not deserve their generosity. Gosh, I can’t stop smiling.
What did I do to deserve such a loving and supportive family members?
